About Me
I was born the youngest in my family of three siblings, my sister
and an older brother, where we were all born a year apart.
My mother always took pride in saying that we were all born
naturally and without painkillers and her birth stories always
remained with me. A positive lady who always thought giving
birth and having us all was a beautiful and wonderful experience.
I embraced her passion and enjoyed giving birth to my non-identical
twins in 2004 and another singleton soon after. For me it was
the start of a wonderful and magical journey into parenthood
and I can truly say a beautiful blessing.
Angels have played a big part in my life and I began to notice
along my journey how powerful, inspirational, supportive and
loving they are. As I started to
open my heart and mind,

their love came through and truly helped me
change my life in a positive and loving way. They continue to support
and guide me on my spiritual path and cannot thank them enough for
their everlasting love, and support.
I was guided by the synchronicities of life and started my training
for various therapies in 2002 working up to Reiki Master Teacher Training
level. I am also fully qualified in Sekhem healing, Ayurvedic Massage
(Abhyanga and Shirodhara Massage), Indian Head Massage and Hopi Ear
Candles. See www.butterfly-therapies.com
for more information on any of the above treatments.
In May 2007 I started working at Oeuf Therapy Rooms and Clinic near
Queens Park, London. Their philosophy was simple in that their aim
was to provide the best they could in complementary healthcare. Experts
in the field of women's reproductive health, fertility and pre-conceptual
care, pregnancy, labour, post natal care and menopause. It is here
where I learnt the specialized pregnancy and postpartum training course.
It was then that I discovered how I had finally found my passion and
how my work working with pregnant women was so fulfilling and joyful.
I enjoyed going through the trimesters with my clients but it wasn't
enough for me, I wanted to go through the whole pregnancy journey with
them, supporting them and empowering them until they gave birth and
then beyond.
It was then I decided to become a doula and integrate my holistic
work together. I contacted Nurturing Birth and in June 2008 I attended
my course on being a birth and postnatal doula. Since then I have gone through the rigorous mentoring process with an assessor and am fully recognised and certified.
I have also attended a course in Acupressure in Pregnancy and Labour.
Satovita ran this intensive and very informative course. Specializing
in fertility, pregnancy and women's health, it covered many techniques
and acupressure points, which can alleviate pain during pregrancy
and labour.
Having three small children myself I can truly understand what a woman
goes through, how she feels and what her anxieties are whilst being
pregnant and postpartum.
I look forward to meeting you, and hopefully you will be able to give
birth with an enjoyable experience and happy memories of this ever
so special time.
With love, Pamela Rogers
